Moved by Kincaid, seconded by Greenwood that that Agenda, as proposed, be approved. Ayes: Seven. Motion carried. Mayor Pro Tem Schmitt reviewed items on the Standing Committee agendas scheduled for Monday, April 24, 2006. Mayor Pro Tem Schmitt reviewed items on the Council agenda for the meeting scheduled for Monday, April 24, 2006, and the following items were discussed. The development agreement with Gene Dettmer to vacate, sell and convey for $1.00 a portion of right-of-way formerly known as Utica Street generally located south of Dawson Street and north of the east -west alley east of Columbia Street. A date of hearing is scheduled for May 15, 2006. Councilperson Getty suggested the council look at the property as Mr. Dettmer appeared before the Building & Grounds Committee regarding his request and said he would have the property cleaned up in one week, and it still isn't cleaned up one month later. The development agreement with Joe Gleason for rehabilitation of 925-927 Sycamore Street. Councilperson Kincaid noted he has been trying to get this building demolished and asked how long will Mr. Gleason have to make the repairs. Don Temeyer, Community Planning and Development Director, responded Mr. Gleason will have six months. Mr. Gleason has prepared documents indicating he will rehabilitate the building. A certification of occupancy will have to be approved when the repairs are finished. Mayor Pro Tem Schmitt stated the development agreement is filed with the court, and if Mr. Gleason does not complete the project within six months, the city will continue working on the property through the court system. The request of the City Engineer to send out notification to property owners of the proposed sidewalk repairs and estimate of costs and setting date of hearing as May 15, 2006 on the proposed repairs for Zone 6. Councilperson Getty asked if funding has been located for the low- income property owners as he is interested in helping them. Mayor Pro Tem Schmitt responded the mayor is working on it, but as far as he knows no funds have been designated for the low- income property owners. With no further business before the council, it was moved by Gunderson, seconded by Cole that the meeting be adjourned at 8:10 a.m. Ayes: Seven. Motion carried. Nancy Eckert City Clerk
