Members absent: Cole. Moved by Schmitt, seconded by Kincaid that the Agenda, as proposed, be approved. Ayes: Six. Absent: Cole. Motion carried. Mayor Hurley reviewed Standing Committee agendas for Monday, November 20, 2006. Mayor Hurley reviewed items on the Council agenda for Monday, November 20, 2006 and the following items were discussed. 1 Michelle Weidner, Chief Financial Officer, reported the 2006 Annual Financial Report is a state form that must be filed with the State of Iowa by December 1, 2006. 2. Paul Huting, Leisure Services Director, reported the three-year facility lease with the Waterloo Softball Association for use of Hoing-Rice Softball Complex is for both the women and men's leagues. 3. Change Order No. 4 for an increase of $44,810.00 for the Youth Pavilion for the Waterloo Center For The Arts was discussed. Cammie Scully, Director, reported the change order is for numerous adds and deletes, and with this change order we will not have to use contingency funds. 4. Mayor Hurley reviewed his recommendation of salary adjustments for certain non - bargaining employees to be effective December 1, 2006. During adoption of this year's budget, council members authorized $100,000.00 to close the gap of certain non -bargaining employees. Mayor Hurley noted the adjustments will be inclusive of all benefits associated with the salary increases. Mayor Hurley explained that the Human Resources Director did a comparable salary study of five cities, and the city is paying less for about 99 percent of non -bargaining employees than those five cities. 5. Paul Huting, Leisure Services Director, explained the 2006 Riverfront Stadium Grandstand Roof Replacement Project. This project is Phase II of the renovations at the stadium and is a complete replacement of the metal roof and sheeting. The goal is to have the roof replacement completed by the start of next year's baseball season. 6. Noel Anderson, City Planner, explained the site plan amendment for the new hotel to be built just south of the Hampton Inn to change the entrance to align with the existing median cut into Crossroads Boulevard. This is one of two hotels to built and is on the northerly side closest to the Hampton Inn. Eric Thorson, City Engineer, reported he continues to have conversations with management at Crossroads regarding Bopp Street. With no further business before the council, it was moved by Getty, seconded by Schmitt that the meeting be adjourned at 8:18 a.m. Ayes: Six. Absent: Cole. Motion carried. Nancy Eckert City Clerk
