Members present:: Mayor Hurley, Cole, Clark, Gunderson, Schmitt, Welper.
Members absent: Kincaid, Greenwood.
Moved by Welper, seconded by Gunderson that the Agenda, as proposed, be approved. Ayes:
Four. Absent: Kincaid, Greenwood. Motion carried.
Items that are on the council agenda for Monday, February 14, 2005, were discussed with
department heads who have items on the agenda.
Mayor Hurley reviewed the Standing Committee agendas for Monday, February 14, 2005.
Items discussed included:
1. Request for Qualifications for the Sale of property in the Cedar Valley Art Mall and
Eastside Riverfront Housing Development. Don Temeyer stated that we are looking
at the purchase of the funeral home, NAPA building and veterinary clinic. The walls
have collapsed on the veterinary building and WDC would like to purchase the
buildings before they are sold. The Environmental I Assessment is completed and we
will be doing Environmental II Assessment. The RFPs will ask for qualifications for
development of the properties. A proposal must be submitted by April 1, 2005.
With no further business before the council, it was moved by Welper, seconded by Gunderson
that the meeting be adjourned at 8:47 a.m. Ayes: Five. Absent: Kincaid, Greenwood. Motion
carried.
