HomeMy WebLinkAbout03.10.2005COUNCIL WORK SESSION March 10, 2005 8:00 a.m. Council Chambers Members present: Mayor Hurley, Kincaid, Cole, Clark, Schmitt, Gunderson, Welper, Greenwood. Moved by Welper, seconded by Kincaid that the Agenda, as proposed, be approved. Ayes: Six. Absent: Greenwood. Motion carried. Agenda items that have been placed on the council agenda of Monday, March 14, 2005 were discussed with Department Heads. Greenwood now present at 8:02 a.m. Mayor Hurley reviewed items that are on the Standing Committee agendas. Items discussed included: an ordinance prohibiting right turn on red at certain intersections by schools and for the mentally challenged who cross at Falls and University Avenues, and Falls and Stephan Avenues.; vacation of the 40' greenway easement located near the corner of Crossroads Boulevard and Bopp Street for the construction of a new Hampton Inn & Suites, two ordinances which will create a Storm Water Management Authority and Storm Water Management Enterprise Fund; assignment of the promissory note to Iowa Department of Economic Development for default of the loan by Clear Windows on a CEBA loan; and the FY2005 Justice Assistance Grant in the amount of $102,419.00; With no further business before the council, it was moved by Welper, seconded by Greenwood that the meeting be adjourned at 8:17 a.m. Ayes: Seven.
