Sandie Greco, Superintendent of Traffic Operations updated the council o
LEDs in the traffic signals throughout the city. Ms. Greco reported the total
$357,373.70, total rebates from MidAmerican Energy is $226,370.00 wit
$131,003.70.
Mike Massina from MidAmerican Energy reviewed the rebate incentive doll
total kWh used and total kWh saved along with energy dollars saved by the
2001 through September 2004. The average energy cost per month in
$8,909.18 and average energy cost per month in April 2005 with $2,69
savings of $6,215.52. Mr. Massina reported the City of Waterloo is one of t
in Iowa to do a complete changeover to LEDs.
Ms. Greco reported that all the work has been done in-house, with only a
LEDs are guaranteed for five to seven years.
With no further business before the council, it was moved by Welper, seco
that the meeting be adjourned at 5:16 p.m. Ayes: Seven. Motion carried.
