Moved by Welper, seconded by Kincaid that the Agenda, as proposed, be Seven. Motion carried. The purpose of the work session was to update council members on the Ceda trip to Washington on April 9-12, 2005. Mayor Hurley reported that city members traveling to Washington along w' Temeyer, Mickey Johnson and Tom Langlas, with the average cost of $1,500 air travel and meals, The average cost for the city is $8,500.00 to $10,000.00 Don Temeyer, Community Planning and Development Director distributed a entitled Cedar Valley Priorities 2005. Members of the Cedar Valley representatives from the cities of Waterloo and Cedar Falls, Iowa Northland R Governments, University of Northern Iowa, Greater Cedar Valley Alliance, Waterloo and Cedar Falls Chambers of Commerce. Representatives start me to discuss items that will be discussed in Washington. The city's top prioriti Iowa's Congressional delegation included the Cedar Valley TechWorks and extension. The total cost of the US 63 Project is $2 million, and this year the city hopes to receive $3 million from the Federal Highway Adm' nistration for the project. Last year the city received funds for the Rath project, TechWorks, Fi e Pals, Center For The Arts and Waterloo Airport. Mayor Hurley stated the coalition spent two days meeting with staff members and Congressmen. All three elected officials and staff members say th consistency of issues of the Cedar Valley Coalition.
