Moved by Schmitt, seconded by Clark that the Agenda, as proposed, be approved. Ayes: Six. Absent: Kincaid. Motion carried. Tim Shea, Superintendent of Waste Management Services, presented information on a city-wide cleanup for September 17, 2005. Kincaid now present at 5:02 p.m. The city-wide cleanup is to be held on September 17, 2005 from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Mr. Shea is proposing a fee of $1 per load and $1 per tire or appliance not to exceed four each per household for the cleanup. Mr. Shea reported that during last year's cleanup, 2,163 loads were hauled to the site in ten hours, with an average weight per load of 105 pounds and average disposal cost per drop of $3.38. The cost to provide the cleanup, including wages and benefits, was $7,314.41. Mr. Shea reviewed the cost to provide the cleanup service to the Church Row and Chautauqua Park Neighborhood Associations. It was the consensus of the council to move forward with the proposed fee schedule and Mr. Shea was asked to bring the announcement of the cleanup date and time back to the council next week for review. Mr. Shea asked that a Task Force be appointed by Mayor Hurley for solid waste. With no further business before the council, it was moved by Gunderson, seconded by Clark that the meeting be adjourned at 5:12 p.m. Ayes: Seven. Motion carried. Nancy Eckert City Clerk
