COUNCIL WORK SESSION
January 29, 2004

Council Chambers
Members present: Mayor Hurley, Cole, Clark, Gunderson, Schmitt, Welper, Kincaid.
Members absent: Greenwood.
Moved by Welper, seconded by Cole that the Agenda, as proposed, be approved. Ayes: Five.
Absent: Greenwood, Kincaid. Motion carried.
Agenda items that have been placed on the council agenda of Monday, February 2, 2004, were
discussed with Department Heads that have placed items on the agenda.
Kincaid now present at 8:02 a.m.
Standing Committee agenda items were discussed.
The bid opening for the FY 2004 CMC Parcel 2 Demolition Project was discussed. Bidders will
be asked to submit a total bid, which includes asbestos removal, demolition, etc. $350,000 is
budgeted for the project, which is being funded by a state grant.
Eric Thorson, City Engineer, discussed the deterioration of the concrete pier stems on the Park
Avenue Bridge.
Two Change Orders for the Airport Renovation Project were discussed.
Change Order in the amount of $82,178.75 for the FY 2003 Overlay Project was reviewed.
With no further business before the council, it was moved by Welper, seconded by Schmitt that
the meeting be adjourned at 8:25 a.m. Ayes: Six. Absent: Greenwood. Motion carried.
