Members present: Mayor Hurley, Kincaid, Cole, Clark, Schmitt, Gunderson, Welper.
Members absent: Greenwood.
Moved by Welper, seconded by Kincaid that the Agenda, as proposed, be approved. Ayes: Six.
Absent: Greenwood. Motion carried.
Mayor Hurley reviewed the Standing Committee agenda items for May 24, 2004
Council Members reviewed items that have been placed on the council agenda of Monday, May
24, 2004 with department heads who have items on the agenda
The following items were discussed.
1. Council discussed the affect rising gas prices will have on departmental budgets.
2. Bob Bamsey from Earth Tech discussed a change order that will be placed on the council
agenda. The change order will be for an increase of $180,000.00 in conjunction with
replacement of additional manhole covers and gatewells. There are about 50 manholes and
gatewells, with about 26 left to refurbish. The manhole covers are located near the Tannery.
There is an extremely high sulfuric content coming out of the Tannery, and the manhole
covers will be replaced with fiber glass liners. The manholes are buried approximately two
feet under agricultural land.
With no further business before the council, it was moved by Clark, seconded by Kincaid that the
meeting be adjourned at 8:20 a.m. Ayes: Six. Absent: Greenwood. Motion carried.
