Members present: Mayor Hurley, Kincaid, Cole, Clark, Schmitt, Gunderson, Welper,
Greenwood.
Moved by Welper, seconded by Kincaid that the Agenda, as proposed, be approved. Ayes: Six.
Absent: Greenwood. Motion carried.
Agenda items that have been placed on the council agenda of Monday, June 21, 2004 were
reviewed with Department Heads who placed items on the agenda.
Mayor Hurley reviewed the Standing Committee agendas for Monday, June 21, 2004.
Greenwood now present at 8:05 a.m.
Items discussed included:
1. Documents with the Homeland Security and Emergency Management Division for
FEMA reimbursement for flooding costs from the rain in May and June 2004.
2. Councilperson Welper reported that he has received calls regarding a petition that
has been circulating in his ward to restore the former fire station on Hammond &
Byron to be used for a grocery store. City Planner Noel Anderson stated that he
talked to the gentlemen but no applications have been filed. This item would have to
go before the Planning, Programming and Zoning Commission and staff would need
to look at parking, traffic, etc.
With no further business before the committee, it was moved by Clark, seconded by Cole that the
meeting be adjourned at 8:12 a.m. Ayes: Seven. Motion carried.
