Agenda items that have been placed on the council agenda of Monday, October 4, 2004 were
reviewed with Department Heads who have placed items on the agenda.
Mayor Hurley reviewed Standing Committee agendas for Monday, October 4, 2004.
Items discussed included:
1. Allowing Basic Materials to dredge material from Tract F on city -owned property
located in the East Lake/Brinker Lake. The city receives a minimum of $5,000
per year for the mining operations. Basic Materials and the Brinker family
donated 72 acres to incorporate into the lake. The city has received
approximately $250,000 since Basic Materials started mining the land.
2. An ordinance authorizing installation of yield signs on Pheasant Lane at the
intersection of Brookeridge Drive. There is construction of new apartments on
Pheasant. The traffic does not warrant stop signs. Sign & Traffic is still working
on Allen & Pleasant. There will probably never be traffic lights on Phesant as it
is a dead end.

from the FFA to purchase the equipment, which is funded 95 percent with grant
funds and 5 percent with PFC.

meeting be adjourned at 8:52 a.m. Ayes: Six. Absent: Kincaid. Motion carried.
