Members present: Mayor Hurley, Clark, Schmitt, Gunderson, Welper.
Members absent: Kincaid, Cole, Greenwood.
Moved by Welper, seconded by Gunderson that the Agenda, as proposed, be approved. Ayes:
Four. Absent: Kincaid, Cole, Greenwood. Motion carried.
Agenda items that have been placed on the council agenda of Monday, October 11, 2004 were
reviewed with Department Heads who have placed items on the agenda.
Mayor Hurley reviewed Standing Committee agendas for Monday, October 11, 2004.
Items discussed included:
1. Award of contract to Exteriors Limited in the amount of $87,600 for the Metal
Roof Restoration for Solid Waste Storage and Repair Center at Pollution Control.
2. Setting dates of hearing as October 25, 2004 on rezoning requests for property for
Capri Casinos, Inc. and Cedar Valley Gaming Co. for developing a gaming
facility. Council discussed whether all PPZ members with a conflict of interest
in the gaming facilities abstained from voting.
3. Construction Plans for paving for Anderson's First Addition to serve Furniture
Row. Furniture Row will pay for the paving.
With no further business before the council, it was moved by Clark, seconded by Gunderson that
the meeting be adjourned at 8:29 a.m. Ayes: Four. Absent: Kincaid, Cole, Greenwood.
Motion carried.
