Members present: Mayor Rooff, Welper, Greenwood, Clark, Jordan, Hurley, Getty, Kincaid
Moved by Jordan, seconded by Welper that the Agenda, as proposed, be approved. Six. Absent:
Kincaid. Motion carried.
Agenda items that have been placed on the council agenda of Monday, February 24, 2003, were
reviewed with Department Heads who have placed items on the agenda.
Councilperson Kincaid now present at 8:09 a.m.
Items discussed included:
1. Left turn lanes on the eastbound and westbound exit ramps at the U.S. 20/Iowa 21
interchange.
2. Mayor Rooff reviewed the emergency access to Covenant. There probably will
be an emergency exit. A four -lane intersection would require the city to purchase
property. The cost benefits do not justify a four lane intersection.
3. Ansborough Avenue Interchange. DOT is reviewing plans.
4. Temporary and permanent easements needed for San Marnan Drive Traffic
Improvements Project, Phase II.
5. SSMID ordinance. Discussion are being held with Main Street Waterloo to use
for economic development.
With no further business before the council, it was moved by Jordan, seconded by Greenwood
that the meeting be adjourned at 829 a.m. Ayes: Seven. Motion carried.
