Members present: Mayor Rooff, Kincaid, Welper, Clark, Jordan, Hurley, Getty.
Members absent: Greenwood.
Moved by Jordan, seconded by Welper that the Agenda, as proposed, be approved. Ayes: Six.
Absent: Greenwood. Motion carried.
Items that are on the council agenda of Monday, October 27, 2003 were discussed with
departments heads who have items on the agenda.
Council Members discussed the bid opening for the Drop Site Recycling Collection and Disposal
Program. Tim Shea reported 5,000 households are now using the yard waste carts.
Councilperson Hurley commented that he has received calls asking that he reconsider the
burning ban. Councilperson Hurley stated he would favor allowing burning of leaves for a very
short window this fall. Councilperson Welper stated that he feels we need to let the new policy
work, allow time for citizens to get uses to using the yard waste carts and let people get use to
not burning. Councilperson Getty stated that citizens would like it if the yard waste carts were
picked up more often during the Fall.
With no further business before the council, it was moved by Hurley, seconded by Jordan that
the meeting be adjourned at 8:11 a.m. Ayes: Six. Absent: Greenwood. Motion carried.
