Moved by Jordan, seconded by Hurley that the Agenda, as proposed, be approved. Ayes: Seven. Motion carried. Don Temeyer, City Planner, reviewed Community Planning and Development areas. Mr. Temeyer reviewed the following six areas of the 2010 Millennium Plan: education, heritage and diversity, leisure and cultural opportunities, health and human services, public services and community and economic development. Noel Anderson, Assistant City Planner, reviewed the following areas covered by the Planning and Zoning Department: Comprehensive Plan Update, Zoning Ordinance, Technical Review Committee, Subdivision Ordinance, Board of Adjustment, 218 Design Review Board, Floodplain Development, services provided to the Black Hawk County Planning Commissions, Historic Preservation Commission, Property Management, Capital Improvement Program and the 2000 Census. Mr. Temeyer reviewed the following areas under the Community Development Board: Neighborhood revitalization background and goals, Neighborhood Services, Waterloo Housing Partnership, Code Enforcement, Consolidated Urban Renewal Areas, State Enterprise Zone, Target Area, and Revitalization Tools. Rudy Jones, Neighborhood Services Coordinator, reviewed the neighborhood list and awards. Neighborhood Services contacts the neighborhoods, finds out their concerns, educates the neighborhoods on the city's policies and services. Neighborhood Services holds forums for the neighborhoods, has a radio show, and monthly newsletter. Mr. Temeyer reviewed the 2025 Transportation Plan Update, Recreational Trail Plan, U.S. 63 Corridor Study and Ansborough Interchange. Mr. Temeyer reviewed the following economic development areas: Incentives, Midport, Downtown, Rath Brownfields, Logan/US 63 North, Tower Park, Crossroads, Greyhound U.S. 63 South and Neighborhoods. With no further business before the council, it was moved by Jordan, seconded by Berry that the meeting be adjourned at 4:07 p.m. Ayes: Seven. Motion carried. Nancy Eckert City Clerk
