HomeMy WebLinkAbout07.18.2002COUNCIL WORK SESSION July 18, 2002 8:00 a.m. Council Chambers Members present: Mayor Rooff, Berry, Welper, Greenwood, Jordan, Hurley, Getty. Members absent: Clark. Moved by Jordan, seconded by Welper that the Agenda, as proposed, be approved. Ayes: Six. Absent: Clark. Motion carried. Mayor Rooff reviewed the 18th Street Bridge and Development Agreement with Gray Transportation which are on the Monday, July 22, 2002 council agenda. Mayor Rooff stated that the Engineering Office submitted a memo with the costs to provide a four lane bridge. Council Members were polled with the following result: Welper - Build two lanes now, but start planning for two additional lanes. Hurley - Build two lanes and keep bridge open during construction. Jordan - Move forward with two lanes and leave existing bridge open during construction. Getty - Move forward with two lanes and leave existing bridge open during construction. Berry - Move forward with two lanes and leave existing bridge open during construction. Greenwood - Move forward with two lanes and leave existing bridge open during construction. Agenda items that have been placed on the council agenda of Monday, July 29, 2002, were discussed with department heads who have placed items on the agenda. With no further business before the council, it was moved by Getty, seconded by Jordan that the meeting be adjourned at 8:49 a.m. Ayes: Six. Absent: Clark. Motion carried. Nancy Eckert City Clerk
