HomeMy WebLinkAbout11.27.2002• COUNCIL WORK SESSION November 27, 2002 8:00 a.m. Council Chambers Members present: Mayor Rooff, Berry, Welper, Clark, Jordan, Hurley, Getty, Greenwood. Moved by Jordan, seconded by Welper that the Agenda, as proposed, be approved. Ayes: Seven. Motion carried. Items that have been placed on the council agenda of Monday, December 2, 2002, were discussed with Department Heads who have items on the agenda. Items discussed: 1. Policy for the sale of city -owned property. 2. Sale of Krieg School. Councilperson Greenwood opposed to the sale. Will adjourn hearing to 12/9/02 to allow time to find another buyer. 3. Vision Iowa application. 4. Resolution supporting $2 million contribution for National Cattle Congress renovation and whether the $2 million from the city is unconditional. Consensus to support National Cattle Congress. If Vision Iowa does not approve CAT funding for the total amount requested, the National Cattle Congress will have to come back to the council for any funding. 5. Ban on Burning Ordinance and discussed alternatives to burning. With no further business before the council, it was moved by Welper, seconded by Clark that the meeting be adjourned at 9:45 a.m. Ayes: Seven. Motion carried. Nancy Eckert City Clerk
