Council Chambers
Members present: Mayor Rooff, Welper, Clark, Jordan, Hurley, Getty, Greenwood.
Moved by Getty, seconded by Welper that the Agenda, as proposed, be approved. Ayes: Six.
Absent: Berry. Motion carried.
Items that have been placed on the council agenda of Monday, November 18, 2002, were
discussed with Department Heads who have items on the agenda.
Additional Items discussed:
1. Sound System at 5 Sullivan Brothers Convention Center.
2. Meeting with Covenant regarding Highway 21 Connection and to include
Councilpersons Jordan and Hurley in the meeting.
3. Set up Public Works Committee meeting for next week to discuss the sewer fund.
4. Set up Building & Grounds Committee for next week to meet at Five Sullivan
Brothers Convention Center.
5. Discussed Vision Iowa meeting on November 13, 2002 and the application
process.
6. Discussed that residents were not notified that dead end streets by Virginia would
be closed for an overlay. Citizens unable to get out of their driveways.
7. Discussed council receiving financial reports, if not monthly at least mid -year.
8. Discussed burning issue and bringing back to the council for discussion.
Discussed enforcing burning policy.
With no further business before the council, it was moved by Getty, seconded by Clark that the
meeting be adjourned at 8:45 a.m. Ayes: Six. Absent: Berry. Motion carried.
