The inspection services will be provided on an "as needed" basis Monday and Friday mornings and Wednesday afternoons. After hour inspections will be conducted upon special request for the surcharge of $45.00. When inspections are requested, there will be a minimum of a three-hour inspection time, plus mileage, for a total cost of $89.00 per day. It is estimated that if the city provides the building and electrical inspection services three days per week the revenue for a full year will be $13,884.00. Mr. Cutwright commented that the Assistant City Attorney has reviewed the agreement, and he has recommended a few language changes. The agreement may be terminated by either party upon a thirty day written notice. The 28E Agreement is on tonight's council agenda for approval. Councilperson Jordan questioned if providing these services to LaPorte City will jeopardize the city's inspection program.
