COUNCIL WORK SESSION
August 28, 2000

Members present: Anders, Jordan, Krizek, Murphy, Gronen, Getty, Berry.
Moved by Jordan, seconded by Berry that the Agenda, as proposed, be approved. Ayes: Seven.
Motion carried.
Craig Ritland Architects updated the council on the Windows on Waterloo project. A scale
model of six, two sided, panels was presented. The committee considered a theme and built on
the windows of Waterloo. The committee has reviewed the draft version of text to be on each
panel. Each panel is 4 x 4, double sided. The panels need to draw attention from vehicle traffic
and people walking by. Information on the panels will be changed as needed. The backside of
the panel will have maps highlighting the theme on the other side. The panels will be shown on
September 21, 2000 at Main Street Detour event. The target date for delivery of the panels is
November 11, 2000. The panels are constructed of customized fiberglass and are warranted for
five to seven years. It takes four to six weeks to process once the company receives the
information.
With no further business before the council, it was moved by Jordan, seconded by Murphy that
the meeting be adjourned at 4:50 p.m. Ayes: Seven. Motion carried.
