RESOLUTION NO. 2022-112
RESOLUTION AWARDING BID TO LANSING BROTHERS
CONSTRUCTION CO., INC., OF LUXEMBURG, IOWA, IN
THE AMOUNT OF $32,400.00, IN CONJUNCTION WITH
DEMOLITION SERVICES WITH REGULATED ASBESTOS -
CONTAINING MATERIALS (RACM), CONTRACT NO. RD-
2022-02-01P, LOCATED AT 408 COURTLAND STREET,
APPROVING THE CONTRACT, BOND, AND CERTIFICATE
OF INSURANCE, AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND
CITY CLERK TO EXECUTE SAID DOCUMENT.
WHEREAS, Lansing Brothers Construction Co., Inc., of Luxemburg, Iowa, submitted a
bid in the amount of $32,400.00, in conjunction with demolition services with regulated
asbestos -containing materials (RACM), Contract No. RD-2022-02-01P, located at 408 Courtland
Street, and is the apparent low bidder, and
WHEREAS, Lansing Brothers Construction Co., Inc., submitted a written contract, bond
and certificate of insurance, per the specifications heretofore adopted by this Council for said
project with Resolution No. 2022-111, after public hearing on February 21, 2022, in conjunction
with demolition services with regulated asbestos -containing materials (RACM), Contract No.
RD-2022-02-01P, located at 408 Courtland Street.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WATERLOO, IOWA:
1. That the bid of Lansing Brothers Construction Co., Inc., in the amount of $32,400.00, in
conjunction with demolition services with regulated asbestos -containing materials (RACM),
Contract No. RD-2022-02-01P, located at 408 Courtland Street, is hereby awarded.
2. That the contract, bond and certificate of insurance submitted by Lansing Brothers
Construction Co., Inc., in conjunction with demolition services with regulated asbestos -
containing materials (RACM), Contract No. RD-2022-02-01P, located at 408 Courtland Street,
are hereby approved.
3. That the Mayor and City Clerk are authorized and directed to execute said documents on
behalf of the City of Waterloo, Iowa.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 21st day of February 2022.
