The Council of the City of Waterloo, Iowa, met in Special Session at City Hall Council
Chambers, Waterloo, Iowa, at 8:15 a.m., on Thursday, October 15, 2009. Mayor Timothy J.
Hurley in the Chair. Roll Call: Cole, Getty, Steve Schmitt, Welper, Reggie Schmitt.
Absent: Hart, Greenwood.

that copies of Call for the Special Session on Thursday, October 15, 2009, at
8:15 a.m., be received and placed on file. Ayes: Five. Absent: Hart,
Greenwood. Motion carried.

that the Agenda, as proposed, for the Special Session on Thursday, October 15,
2009, at 8:15 a.m., be accepted and approved. Ayes: Five. Absent: Hart,
Greenwood. Motion carried.

that communication from Community Planning & Development Director transmitting
Development Agreement with Tournier Manufacturing, Inc. for development of a
15,000 sq. ft. commercial building, with a new minimum taxable value of $1
million, with tax rebates for five years at 50 percent, on a 1.8 acre site
generally located at the northeast corner of Wagner Road and Broadway Street, be
received, placed on file and "Resolution approving said agreement", be adopted
and Mayor and Deputy City Clerk authorized to execute same.
Prior to a vote on the above motion, the following comments were heard.
Noel Anderson, Community Planning & Development Director stated
basically does welding and makes trailers.
Following comments a vote was taken on the above motion with
result. Ayes: Five. Absent: Hart, Greenwood.
Resolution adopted and upon approval by Mayor assigned No. 2009-1043.
