Members present: Getty, Krizek.
Members absent: Murphy, Jordan, Anders, Collier, Mollenhoff.
There was not a quorum and no official action was taken at the
meeting.
The purpose of the meeting was to update the council on MidPort
America. Mike Svoboda, Vice President Special Properties, CB
Commercial Real Estate Group, Inc., reviewed the marketing
activities of CB Commercial. The Elk Grove focus marketing has
identified several longer term candidates. Logistics functions
dominate the "In the Market" activity and the level of activity of
active prospects in the Midwest has resumed the pace of last fall.
CB Commercial continues to encourage two developers to initiate the
speculative building program. CB is collaborating with Randy
Pilkington oh goodsn.d services suppliers to the Waterloo Market.
They are co±itinuin4 the focus on the Elk Grove and DuPage Airport.
A local developer 0 pursuing the 30,000 sq. ft. spec building and
an out-of-state dev'e1oper is pursing the 300,000 sq. ft. spec
building. Seven tritanies have been located who are actively in
the market fqr a 'ii6 i location.
