RESOLUTION NO. 2022-168
RESOLUTION APPROVING VARIANCE TO NOISE
ORDINANCE REQUEST FROM WATERLOO AUTO PARTS,
INC., IN CONJUNCTION WITH THE 2022 IOWA AUTO
RECYCLERS SUMMER OUTING, TO BE HELD ON JUNE 11,
2022 FROM 7:00 P.M. TO 12:00 A.M, AT 1501 GRANDVIEW,
INCLUDING LIVE MUSIC.
WHEREAS, Waterloo Auto Parts, Inc., 1501 Grandview Avenue, is requesting a variance
to the Noise Ordinance and permission to close a portion of Grandview Avenue between Clark
Street north to the end of Grandview Avenue, June 11, 2022 from 7:00 p.m. to 12:00 a.m. in
conjunction with the Iowa Automotive Recyclers Summer Outing event, including a live band,
and
WHEREAS, said event will exceed the limits of the Noise Ordinance, Ordinance No.
3094, and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WATERLOO, IOWA, that the request Waterloo Auto Parts, Inc., 1501 Grandview Avenue, for a
variance to Ordinance No. 3094, Noise Ordinance, and permission to close a portion of
Grandview Avenue between Clark Street north to the end of Grandview Avenue, starting June
11, 2022 from 7:00 p.m. to 12:00 a.m. in conjunction with the Iowa Automotive Recyclers
Summer Outing event, including a live band, be and the same hereby granted.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 4th day of April 2022.
