RESOLUTION NO. 2022-223
RESOLUTION APPROVING AWARD OF BID TO B&B LAWN
CARE, INC., OF WATERLOO, IOWA, IN CONJUNCTION
WITH THE 2022 AND 2023 RESIDENTIAL
LOTS/MISCELLANEOUS AREAS MOWING AND LOT
MAINTENANCE SERVICES CONTRACT, IN THE AMOUNT
OF $12.99 PER LOT, OPTION A LOTS UNDER ONE ACRE,
AND $57.00 PER HOUR FOR OPTION B LOTS 1 ACRE OR
MORE, APPROVING THE CONTRACT, BOND, AND
CERTIFICATE OF INSURANCE, AND AUTHORIZING THE
MAYOR AND CITY CLERK TO EXECUTE SAID
DOCUMENTS.
WHEREAS, B&B Lawn Care, Inc., of Waterloo, Iowa submitted a bid in the amount of
$12.99 per lot, Option A lots under one acre, and $57.00 per hour for Option B lots 1 acre or
more, and is the apparent low bidder in conjunction with the 2022 and 2023 Residential
Lots/Miscellaneous Areas Mowing and Lot Maintenance Services Contract, and
WHEREAS, B&B Lawn Care, Inc., submitted a written contract, bond and certificate of
insurance, per the specifications heretofore adopted by this Council for said project with
Resolution No. 2022-222, after public hearing on April 18, 2022, in conjunction the 2022 and
2023 Residential Lots/Miscellaneous Areas Mowing and Lot Maintenance Services Contract.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WATERLOO, IOWA
1. That the bid of B&B Lawn Care, Inc., in the amount of $12.99 per lot, Option A
lots under one acre, and $57.00 per hour for Option B lots 1 acre or more, in conjunction with the
2022 and 2023 Residential Lots/Miscellaneous Areas Mowing and Lot Maintenance Services
Contract, is hereby awarded.
2. That the contract, bond and certificate of insurance submitted by B&B Lawn Care,
Inc., in conjunction with the 2022 and 2023 Residential Lots/Miscellaneous Areas Mowing and
Lot Maintenance Services Contract, described in the specifications heretofore adopted by this
Council for said project with Resolution No. 2022-222, after public hearing on April 18, 2021 on
published notice required by law, are hereby accepted and approved.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 18th day of April 2022.
