RESOLUTION APPROVING VARIANCE TO NOISE
ORDINANCE REQUEST FROM GEORGE NICHOLAS, IN
CONJUNCTION WITH THE MAMA NICKS 60TH
ANNIVERSARY EVENT, TO BE HELD ON MAY 15, 2022
FROM 12:00 P.M. TO 5:00 PM. AT 1934 WASHINGTON
STREET, INCLUDING LIVE ENTERTAINMENT, FOOD AND
ALCOHOL BOTH INSIDE AND OUTSIDE.
WHEREAS, Mama Nicks is requesting a variance to the Noise Ordinance May 15, 2022,
2022 from 12:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. in conjunction with Mama Nicks 60th Anniversary event,
located at 1934 Washington Street, including live entertainment, and
WHEREAS, said event will exceed the limits of the Noise Ordinance, Ordinance No.
3094, and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WATERLOO, IOWA, that the request of Mama Nicks for a variance to Ordinance No. 3094,
Noise Ordinance, and permission to hold the Mama Nicks 60th Anniversary event at 1934
Washington Street, on May 15, 2022 from 12:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., including live entertainment,
food and alcohol, be and the same hereby granted.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 18th day of April 2022.
