RESOLUTION NO. 2022-208
RESOLUTION APPROVING VARIANCE TO NOISE
ORDINANCE REQUEST FROM EMILY DVORAK FOR THE
GOOD NEIGHBOR IOWA EARTH DAY PICNIC EVENT,
LOCATED AT HOPE MARTIN PARK FROM 12:00 TO 3:00
P.M. ON APRIL 23, 2022, INCLUDING USE OF A PA
SYSTEM.
WHEREAS, Emily Dvorak, is requesting permission to hold the "Good Neighbor Iowa
Earth Day Picnic" event, in Hope Martin Park, from 12:00 to 3:00 p.m. on April 23, 2022, and
WHEREAS, said event will exceed the limits of Ordinance No. 3094, Noise Ordinance,
and
WHEREAS, Emily Dvorak has made formal application for a variance to the Noise
Ordinance for the "Good Neighbor Iowa Earth Day Picnic" event, to be held at Hope Martin
Park, from 12:00 to 3:00 p.m. on April 23, 2022, including a picnic, use of a PA system.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WATERLOO, IOWA, that the request of Emily Dvorak, for a variance to the Noise Ordinance
on April 23, 2022, from 12:00 to 3:00 p.m., in conjunction with the "Good Neighbor Iowa Earth
Day Picnic" event, to be held in Hope Martin Park, including a picnic and use of a PA system, is
hereby granted.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 18th day of April 2022.
