RESOLUTION NO. 2022-209
RESOLUTION APPROVING A VARIANCE TO THE NOISE
ORDINANCE REQUEST FROM FOR SIDNEY SIMPSON IN
CONJUNCTION WITH A GOSPEL CELEBRATION AND
BIRTHDAY CELEBRATION EVENT TO BE HELD AT 916 ASH
STREET, FROM 7:00 A.M. TO 9:00 P.M., ON MAY 13-14, 2022,
INCLUDING USE OF A PA SYSTEM AND LIVE MUSIC.
WHEREAS, Sidney Simpson is requesting a variance to the Noise Ordinance in
conjunction with a Gospel Celebration and Birthday Celebration event, to be held May 13-14,
2022, from 7:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m., to be held at 916 Ash Street, including a live music and use of
a PA system.
WHEREAS, said event will exceed the limits of Ordinance No. 3094, Noise Ordinance.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WATERLOO, IOWA, that the request of Sidney Simpson for a variance to Ordinance No. 3094,
Noise Ordinance, in conjunction with a Gospel Celebration and Birthday Celebration event, to be
held May 13-14, 2022, from 7:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m., to be held at 916 Ash Street, including a live
music and use of a PA system, is hereby approved.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 18th day of April 2022.
