RESOLUTION NO. 2022-225
RESOLUTION APPROVING AWARD OF BID TO P & J
OPERATIONS, L.L.C, OF WATERLOO, IOWA, OPTION A $1,050.00
PER OCCURRENCE, OPTION B $1,150.00 PER OCCURRENCE,
OPTION C $25.00 PER MAN HOUR, AND TO B & B LAWN CARE,
INC., OF WATERLOO, IOWA FOR OPTION D $79.00 PER MAN
HOUR, AND APPROVING THE CONTRACT, BONDS AND
CERTIFICATE OF INSURANCE, IN CONJUNCTION WITH THE FY
2023 COMPLAINT MOWING WITH COMPLAINT SNOW REMOVAL
CONTRACT, AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND CITY CLERK
TO EXECUTE SAID DOCUMENTS.
WHEREAS, P & J Operations, L.L.C, of Waterloo, Iowa, submitted a bid as follows:
Option A $1,050.00 per occurrence, Option B $1,150.00 per occurrence, Option C $25.00 per
man hour, and in conjunction with the FY 2022 Complaint Mowing with Complaint Snow
Removal Contract, and
WHEREAS, B & B Lawn Care, Inc., of Waterloo, Iowa, submitted a bid as follows:
Option D $79.00 per man hour, and
WHEREAS, P & J Operations, LLC, and B & B Lawn Care, Inc., submitted written
contracts, bonds and certificates of insurance, per the specifications heretofore adopted by this
Council for said project with Resolution No. 2022-224, after public hearing on April 18, 2022, in
conjunction with the FY 2023 Complaint Mowing with Complaint Snow Removal Contract.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WATERLOO, IOWA
1. That the bid of P & J Operations, LLC, in the amount of Option A: $1,050.00 per
occurrence, Option B $1,150.00 per occurrence, Option C $25.00 per man hour, in conjunction
with the 2022 Complaint Mowing with Complaint Snow Removal Contract, is hereby accepted.
2. That the bid of B & B Lawn Care, Inc., of Waterloo, Iowa, in the amount of
Option D $79.00 per man hour, in conjunction with the 2022 Complaint Mowing with Complaint
Snow Removal Contract, is hereby accepted.
2. That the contracts, bonds and certificates of insurance submitted by P & J
Operations, LLC and B & B Lawn Care, Inc., in conjunction with the 2023 Complaint Mowing
with Complaint Snow Removal Contract, are hereby approved.
3. That the Mayor and City Clerk are authorized and directed to execute said
documents on behalf of the City of Waterloo, Iowa.
