RESOLUTION NO. 2022-242
RESOLUTION APPROVING VARIANCE TO NOISE
ORDINANCE REQUEST FROM DANIELLE EASTMAN, IN
CONJUNCTION WITH THE AYA DANCING IN THE PARK
EVENT, TO BE HELD MAY 6, 7, JULY 21 AND 29, AUGUST
26, SEPTEMBER 9, AND OCTOBER 7, 2022 FROM 6:00 P.M.
TO 7:00 P.M. GRASSY AREA NEAR THE SHELTER AT
VALLEY VIEW PARK.
WHEREAS, Danielle Eastman, is requesting permission to hold the "Aya Dancing in the
Park" event, in the grassy area near the shelter at Valley View Park, on May 6, 7, July 21 and 29,
August 26, September 9, and October 7, 2022 from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., and
WHEREAS, said event will exceed the limits of Ordinance No. 3094, Noise Ordinance,
and
WHEREAS, Danielle Eastman has made formal application for a variance to the Noise
Ordinance for the "Aya Dancing in the Park" event, including use of a PA system.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WATERLOO, IOWA, that the request of Danielle Eastman, for a variance to the Noise
Ordinance on May 6, 7, July 21 and 29, August 26, September 9, and October 7, 2022 from 6:00
p.m. to 7:00 p.m., in conjunction with the " Aya Dancing in the Park " event, to be held in the
grassy area near the shelter at Valley View Park, including use of a PA system, is hereby granted.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 2nd day of May 2022.
