RESOLUTION NO. 2022-253
RESOLUTION APPROVING AWARD OF BID TO ASPRO,
INC., OF WATERLOO, IOWA, IN THE AMOUNT OF
$3,234,420.62, APPROVING THE CONTRACT, BOND AND
CERTIFICATE OF INSURANCE, IN CONJUNCTION WITH
THE FY 2022 ASPHALT OVERLAY PROGRAM, CONTRACT
NO. 1056, AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND CITY
CLERK TO EXECUTE SAID DOCUMENT.
WHEREAS, Aspro, Inc., of Waterloo, Iowa, submitted a bid in the amount of
$3,234,420.62, in conjunction with the FY 2022 Asphalt Overlay Program, Contract No. 1056,
and is the apparent low bidder, and
WHEREAS, Aspro, Inc., submitted a written contract, bond and certificate of insurance,
per the specifications heretofore adopted by this Council for said project with Resolution No.
2022-252, after public hearing on May 2, 2022, in conjunction with the FY 2022 Asphalt Overlay
Program, Contract No. 1056.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WATERLOO, IOWA
1. That the bid of Aspro, Inc., in the amount of $3,234,420.62, in conjunction with the FY
2022 Asphalt Overlay Program, Contract No. 1056, is hereby awarded to Aspro, Inc.
2. That the contract, bond and certificate of insurance submitted by Aspro, Inc., in
conjunction with the FY 2022 Asphalt Overlay Program, Contract No. 1056, are hereby
approved.
3. That the Mayor is authorized and directed to execute said documents on behalf of the City
of Waterloo, Iowa.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 2nd day of May 2022.
