RESOLUTION NO. 2022-279
RESOLUTION APPROVING A REQUEST BY BLACK HAWK
COUNTY 4-H SHOOTING SPORTS FOR A VARIANCE TO
THE WEAPONS ORDINANCE FOR THE BLACK HAWK
COUNTY 4-H AND FFA FAIR, ON JULY 30, 2022 AT 12:00
P.M., LOCATED AT THE NATIONAL CATTLE CONGRESS.
WHEREAS, Black Hawk County 4-H Shooting Sports has requested a variance to the
weapons ordinance to allow for the Black Hawk County 4-H and FFA Fair to be held on July 30,
2022 at 12:00 p.m., located at the National Cattle Congress, and
WHEREAS, said use of archery equipment would be in violation of Section 5-2-6 of the
Waterloo Code of Ordinances, Discharging Weapons, and
WHEREAS, Black Hawk County 4-H Shooting Sports has made formal application for a
variance to Section 5-2-6 of the Waterloo Code of Ordinances, Discharging Weapons.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WATERLOO, IOWA, that the request of Black Hawk County 4-H Shooting Sports for a
variance to Section 5-2-6 of the Waterloo Code of Ordinances, Discharging Weapons, to allow
for the Black Hawk County 4-H and FFA Fair, located at the National Cattle Congress, to be held
on July 30, 2022 at 12:00 p.m., be and the same hereby granted.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 16th day of May 2022.
