RESOLUTION APPROVING AGREEMENT WITH IOWA
DEPARTMENT OF ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT FOR A
COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT (CDBG)
DISASTER RECOVERY HUD BUYOUT CONTRACT AND
DIRECTING EXECUTION OF SAID CONTRACT BY
MAYOR.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WATERLOO, IOWA,
that the agreement dated November 23, 2009, for a Community
Development Block Grant (CDBG) Disaster Recovery HUD Buyout
Contract, in the amount of $261,180.00, for the buyout of
residential sites in the 100 -year floodplain that were not
eligible for the FEMA buyout, by and between the Iowa Department
of Economic Development and the City of Waterloo, Iowa, be and
the same is hereby approved, and the Mayor authorized to execute
the same in behalf of the City of Waterloo, Iowa.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 23rd day of November, 2009.
