RESOLUTION NO. 2022-323
RESOLUTION APPROVING AWARD OF BID TO BROCK EVEN
CONSTRUCTION, LLC, OF LAPORTE CITY, IOWA, IN THE
AMOUNT OF $217,159.74, APPROVING THE CONTRACT, BOND,
AND CERTIFICATE OF INSURANCE, IN CONJUNCTION WITH
THE FY 2022 SIDEWALK REPAIR PROGRAM - ZONE 2,
CONTRACT NO. 1061, AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND
CITY CLERK TO EXECUTE SAID DOCUMENT.
WHEREAS, Brock Even Construction, LLC of LaPorte City, Iowa, submitted a bid in the
amount of $217,159.74, in conjunction with the FY 2022 Sidewalk Repair Program - Zone 2,
Contract No. 1061, and is the apparent low bidder, and
WHEREAS, Brock Even Construction, LLC submitted a written contract, bond and
certificate of insurance, per the specifications heretofore adopted by this Council for said project
with Resolution No. 2022-323, after public hearing on June 6, 2022, in conjunction with the FY
2022 Sidewalk Repair Program - Zone 2, Contract No. 1061.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WATERLOO, IOWA
1. That the bid of Brock Even Construction, LLC in the amount of $217,159.74, in
conjunction with the FY 2022 Sidewalk Repair Program - Zone 2, Contract No. 1061, is
hereby awarded.
2. That the contract, bond and certificate of insurance submitted by Brock Even
Construction, LLC, in conjunction with the FY 2022 Sidewalk Repair Program - Zone 2,
Contract No. 1061, are hereby approved.
3. That the Mayor and City Clerk are authorized and directed to execute said documents on
behalf of the City of Waterloo, Iowa.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 6th day of June 2022.
