In accordance with the original agreement dated November 1, 2021, between the following parties:
CLIENT: The City of Waterloo
LANDSCAPE ARCHITECT: RITLAND+KUIPER Landscape Architects (RKLA)
for the following PROJECT: Gates Park Master Plan Update
Payment is requested for the following additional services:
ADDITIONAL DESIGN DEVELOPMENT SERVICES
These additional services were to assist you with fundraising for the project and transitioning the master plan
developed for Gates Park so that it could be implemented as a project ready for construction document
development.
ADDITIONAL DESIGN DEVELOPMENT SERVICES
The following additional services were provided during the design development process:
1. Multiple conference calls, teleconferences, and in -person meetings with City Staff and with
prospective funding entities to seek support for the project (Black Hawk County Gaming Association,
Otto Shoitz Foundation, Leisure Services Board, etc.). This included preparation of presentation
graphics.
2. Coordination with City Staff and other consultants for phasing and funding strategies for both Gates
Park and Byrnes Park redevelopments.
3. 3D modelling of basketball court area and splash pad for presentation graphics to illustrate the design
concepts best for public review and input. Original agreement included plan views only.
COMPENSATION
Based on these additional services, and in accordance with the conditions outlined in our contract,
RITLAND+KUIPER Landscape Architects is requesting $21,150.
