Mr. Feuss and Mr. Amos joined via Zoom. Absent: Mr. Chiles. 107428 - Grieder/Wilder that the Agenda, as proposed, be approved. Voice -vote Ayes: Six. Motion carried. 107429 - Grieder/Wilder that the Minutes, as proposed, for the Regular Session on Monday, June 6, 2022, at 5:30 p.m., be accepted and approved. Voice vote -Ayes: Six. Motion carried. Objective: Update from the Historic Preservation Commission. Ed Ottesen, Chair of the Historic Preservation Commission, provided an overview of the primary functions of the commission. The commission requested financial assistance to train commission members and to start an incentive program for low-income residents who own historic homes that cannot afford to fix them up to the standard outlined in the Historic Preservation ordinance. Mr. Amos questioned if anyone from Memorial Hall has been in contact with the Historic Preservation Commission about the repair concerns they have for their building. Ed Ottesen commented that there will be some requirements they need to follow and coming through the Historic Preservation Commission would be helpful for them. Mr. Grieder questioned the dollar amount the Commission would be requesting to fulfill their training needs. Ed Ottesen stated that they would get a figure to the council members. Mr. Nichols questioned if community funds could be used to help people fund historic repairs to their home. Noel Anderson, Community Planning & Development Director, explained the financial incentives that would be available and added that CDGB Block Grants would be available for those that want to update their homes to that standard. 107430 - Boesen/Amos that the meeting be adjourned at 4:55 p.m. Voice -vote Ayes: Six.
