RESOLUTION APPROVING VARIANCE TO NOISE
ORDINANCE REQUEST FROM PURVIS WILLIAMS, IN
CONJUNCTION WITH THE SUMMER SOUL CLASSIC
PARADE, TO BE HELD ON JULY 9, 2022 FROM 8:00 A.M. TO
NOON, AT GATES PARK PARKING LOT AND LESTER
STREET.
WHEREAS, Purvis Williams is requesting a variance to the Noise Ordinance on July 9,
2022 from 8:00 a.m. to noon, at Gates Park parking lot and Lester Street with the use of a PA
system, and
WHEREAS, said event will exceed the limits of Ordinance No. 3094, Noise Ordinance.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WATERLOO, IOWA, that the request of Purvis Williams, for a variance to the Noise Ordinance
on July 9, 2022 from 8:00 a.m. to noon, at Gates Park parking lot and Lester Street, with the use
of a PA system, be and the same hereby granted.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 5th day of July 2022.
