On Proposed Plans. Specifications, Form
of Contract, And Estimate of Cost
For the MLK WETLAND MITIGATION
PROJECT- PHASE I
In the City of Waterloo, Iowa
CONTRACT NO. 1005
RECEIVING OF BIDS
Sealed proposals will be received by the
City Clerk of the City of Waterloo, Iowa, at
her office in the City Hall of the said City
on the 7th day of July, 2022, until 1:00
p.m for the construction of the MLK
WETLAND MITIGATION PROJECT -
PHASE I, CITY CONTRACT NO. 1005,
as described in detail in the plans and
specifications now on file in the Office of
the City Clerk.
OPENING OF BIDS
All proposals received will be opened in
the Harold E. Getty Council Chambers at
City Hall, in the City of Waterloo, Iowa, on
the 7th day of July, 2022, at 1:00 p.m.,
and the proposals will be acted upon at
such later time and place as may then be
fixed by the City Council. The bid opening
will be livestreamed on YouTube and
made available on the city website.
PUBLIC HEARING
Notice is hereby given that the Council of
said City will conduct a public hearing on
the proposed plans, specifications, form
of contract, and estimate of cost for the
construction of the above -described im-
provement project at 5:30 p.m. on the
18th day of July, 2022, said hearing to be
held in the Harold E. Getty Council
Chambers in City Hall in said City. The
proposed plans, specifications, form of
contract, and estimate of cost for said
improvements heretofore prepared by
AECOM are now on file in the office of the
City Clerk for public examination, and any
person interested therein may file written
objection thereto with the City Clerk
before the date set for said hearing or
appear and make objection thereto with
the City Clerk before the date set for said

thereto at the meeting above set forth.
SCOPE OF WORK
Work of this Contract entails the
restoration of Wetlands 2 and 8 and the
installation of field fence around the
wetlands. A new driveway will be installed
for Wetland 8 and the property to the
south.
Published pursuant to the provisions o1
Chapter 26 of the City Code of lowa and
upon order to the City of Waterloo, Iowa,
on the 201h day of June, 2022.
