Members present: Craig White, Randall Miller, Richard Hastings, Scott McDonald, Marcia
Courbat, Don Ticknor, Marilyn Robinson, Mike Mrzlak, Nielsen, d Chad Hill.
Members absent: Mel Wittwer, Ron McMahon, John Mrzla ames Lentfer, and Sherman
Lundy.
Also in Attendance: Suzy Schares, City Clerk and Kelley Felchle, Deputy City Clerk.
Moved by Miller, seconded by Ticknor, that the Agenda be approved. Ayes: Ten. Motion
carried.
Moved by Mrzlak, seconded by Miller that the Minutes of March 23, 2016, be approved. Ayes:
Ten. Motion carried.
Citizens Oral Comments
No comments were made.
Treasurer's Report
Marcia Courbat, Treasurer, reported as of May 25, 2016, the brick fund has a balance of
$11,495.58 which includes the purchase of 2 bricks. A check for three additional bricks was
submitted in the amount of$150.00.
Motioned by Miller and seconded by Ticknor to approve the following bills payments: Marcia
Courbat for postage-$9.80, Dick Hastings for a flag from the Evansdale Amvets-$25.00. Ayes:
Ten. Motion carried.
Chairperson's Report
Craig White, Chairperson, reported the Honor Flight went well. Local radio station KXEL is
becoming a sponsor and will be on the next flight.
Committee Reports
Building, Grounds & Operations
Richard Hastings, Building, Grounds & Operations Chairperson, reported that on May 12, 2016,
Justin Jensen called and requested to hold a Veterans Care Fair during the end of July or
beginning of August. Mr. White suggested Jensen schedule the event with the local Veterans
Affairs Office and hold it during the veteran meal in Lincoln Park.
Richard Hastings reported that the fountain will be running during Memorial Day and will be
shut off after a few days. It was suggested to move the tables and use the current area for
storage. The displays are being used by t the locks are being worked on. Some items upstairs
need new labels. He is checking on possible lighting for displays. An inventory and appraisal is
being done for insurance purposes. There is a tv that needs to be recycled.
Education/Historical
Randy Miller, Education/Historical Chairperson, noted that reunions are scheduled for
September.
Finance/Fundraising
Marcia Courbat reported that Veridian Credit Union is going to help with writing a grant
application.
