Veterans Memorial Hall
Members present: Craig White, Randall Miller, Richard Hastings, Scott McDonald, Marcia
Courbat, Don Ticknor, Mel Wittwer, Mike Mrzlak.
Members absent: Marilyn Robinson, Ronald Nielsen, Ron McMahon, Michael Dennis (A), and
Chad Hill (A).
Also in Attendance: Suzy Schares, City Clerk, City of Waterloo; John Mrzlak (A), James
Lentfer (A), Sherman Lundy(A).
Moved by Lundy, seconded by Courbat, that the Agenda, be approved. Ayes: Eight. Motion
carried.
Moved by Mrzlak, seconded by Ticnor that the Minutes of July 22, 2015, be approved. Ayes:
Eight. Motion carried.
Citizens Oral Comments
None
Treasurer's Report
Marcia Courbat gave the Treasurer's Report as of August 26, 2015. Ms. Courbat reported the
Brick Fund has a balance of $11,714.22 after engraving costs, and reimbursement to Mr.
Hastings. Ms Courbat submitted checks totaling $500 for new brick purchases.
Chairperson's Report
Craig White, Chairperson, reported that there will be a meeting later in the evening regarding the
vigil in September. The next Honor Flight will be September 22, 2015.
Committee Reports
Building, Grounds & Operations
Dick Hastings discussed how to attach the flag holders to plywood. He presented a metal cut out
to place in the window.
Education/Historical
None
Finance/Fundraising
Marcia Courbat would like to invite the Courier and the Roundtable out when the bricks come in
and added she can find no information on the fountain.
Collections Manager/Registrar
No report.
Unfinished Business
The carpeting has not been installed to date.
New Business
None.
With no further business before the commission, it was moved by Ticknor, seconded by Wittwer
that the meeting be adjourned at 5:27 p.m. Ayes: Eight.
