Ms. Courbat reported the total bricks sold to date as 2,972 for a total in sales of$149,600. April sales have brought in a total of $1,700 bringing the balance to $13,030 in the General Fund. In addition, two bills still to be paid from last month include $425.00 for engraving bricks and $9.80 for stamp reimbursement. Nancy Higby, Administrative Secretary, stated that two invoices from Black Hawk Memorial were received in the Clerk's office for the engraving of 78 bricks, totaling $1,950. Ms. Courbat presented two requests for reimbursement for Mr. Hastings, $25.00 for the purchase of a flag, and $30.00 for flowers for the urns in front of the building. Motion by Ticknor, seconded by McMahon that the invoices from Black Hawk Memorial totaling $1,950 and reimbursement totaling $55 for the flag and flowers be approved. Ayes: Nine. Motion carried. Chairperson's Report Craig White, Chairperson, reported he has received many comments of appreciation for the flags that have been put up for display on the streets. Mr. Mrzlak added that he will look for additional conduit to allow more to be added. Honor flight is scheduled for June 16. There will be a dinner held on June 4, 2015. So far there are 30 applications for the September flight. The search continues for Vets who served in WWII and the Korean War. Mr. White commented that the t-shirts are still pending. He is waiting for a return call form Shirt Shack. Committee Reports Building, Grounds & Operations Richard Hastings reported on the flag storage project. He has the boxes, now he just needs to roll the flags up in tissue and place them in the boxes. Mr. Hasting was found about 13 or 14 different holders to display flags and plaques for the War of 1812, Confederate and Civil Wars. He has them available for viewing in the office. Mr. White suggested that perhaps someone who does woodwork could make a display. Mr. Mrzlak thought a display on wheels would be something to consider as well.
