Moved by Getty, seconded by Mollenhoff that the Agenda, as
proposed, be approved. Ayes : Two. Absent : Krizek. Motion
carried.
Moved by Getty, seconded by Mollenhoff that the Minutes of December
2, 1996, as proposed, be approved. Ayes : Two. Absent : Krizek.
Motion carried.
Moved by Getty, seconded by Mollenhoff that a garbage refund in the
amount of $60 for 817 West First Street be approved. Ayes : Two.
Absent : Krizek. Motion carried.
The following bids received for a used end loader were reviewed:

It was the recommendation of the Superintendent of Central Garage
that the bid of Altorfer Machinery Company in the amount of
$68, 000, less trade-in of $27, 946, for a total purchase price of
$40, 054, be approved. Moved by Getty, seconded by Mollenhoff that
said recommendation be approved. Ayes : Two. Absent : Krizek.
Motion carried.
The request of the Deputy City Clerk to renew the contract with
Superior Security Services for security service at city ramps was
reviewed. The city contracted with Superior Security Services on
October 16, 1995 for security services at an hourly rate of $9 . 50
for a one year period. The contract allows renewing the agreement
for an additional year if the city and the company can reach mutual
agreement on the terms . Superior Security is agreeable to
extending the current contract at the $9 . 50 per hour rate for the
period of November 1, 1996 through October 31, 1997 . It was the
recommendation of the City Clerk' s office that said contract be
renewed for one year. Moved by Getty, seconded by Mollenhoff that
the contract with Superior Security Services for security services
at the city ramps be renewed for one year. Ayes : Two. Absent :
Krizek. Motion carried.
Moved by Getty, seconded by Mollenhoff that the request of the
Parks Superintendent for pre-authorization to expend not to exceed
$2, 500 . 00 for various seeds for annual flowers in the parks and
golf courses in 1997 be approved. Ayes : Two. Absent : Krizek.

Moved by Getty, seconded by Mollenhoff that the request of the
Parks Superintendent for pre-authorization to expend an estimated
$3 , 000 . 00 for annual inspection of Forestry lift truck be approved.
Ayes : Two. Absent : Krizek. Motion carried.
Moved by Getty, seconded by Mollenhoff that the request of the
Personnel Director for pre-authorization to expend up to $2, 000 . 00
for written police recruit exam be approved. Ayes : Two. Absent :
Krizek. Motion carried.

Glock weapons for four new police officers be approved. Ayes :

Recreation Director for pre-authorization to expend $4 , 010 . 00 to
transport artwork be approved. Ayes : Two. Absent : Krizek.

to Line Item 1785 (Refund Payments) ; transfer $10 . 00 from Line Item
1551 (Medical Supplies) to Line Item 1344 (Telephone, Teletype,
Radio) ; transfer $340 . 00 from Line Item 3414 (Ambulance Fees) to
Line Item 1785 (Refund Payments) be approved. Ayes : Two. Absent :
Krizek. Motion carried.
Moved by Getty, seconded by Mollenhoff that Bills Payment, as
contained in Schedule AP640, pp. 1-46 dated December 9, 1996 in the
amount of $1, 314, 866 . 87 be forwarded to the full council for
approval . Ayes : Two. Absent : Krizek. Motion carried.
With no further business before the committee, it was moved by
Getty, seconded by Mollenhoff that the meeting be adjourned at 5 : 29
p.m. Ayes : Two. Absent : Krizek. Motion carried.
