Moved by Krizek, seconded by Anders that the Agenda, as proposed,
be approved. Ayes : Two. Absent : Mollenhoff . Motion carried.
Moved by Anders, seconded by Krizek that the minutes of October 16,
1995, as proposed, be approved. Ayes : Two. Absent : Mollenhoff .
Motion carried.
The following bids received for F.Y. 1996 Storm Sewer Extension for
DCI Industries were reviewed:

Rampart Corporation $15, 745 . 00
It was the recommendation of the Associate Engineer that the low
bid of Lehman Trucking in the amount of $13 , 305 . 00 be approved.
Moved by Krizek, seconded by Anders that said recommendation be
approved. Ayes : Two. Absent : Mollenhoff . Motion carried.
The request of the Administrative Director for authorization to
seek bids for appraisal services in conjunction with the Satellite
Interceptor for the Water Pollution Control Facility was reviewed.
There are 30 parcels that will be involved in this project, which
include 14 temporary easements, 10 permanent easements and 6 fee
title takings . Moved by Anders, seconded by Krizek that said
request be approved. Ayes : Two. Absent : Mollenhoff . Motion
carried.
Moved by Krizek, seconded by Anders that a garbage refund in the
amount of $46 . 50 for 2101 West 7th Street be approved. Ayes : Two.
Absent : Mollenhoff . Motion carried.
Moved by Anders, seconded by Krizek that the request of the
Superintendent of Parks for pre-authorization to expend $17, 205 . 00
for restroom/shelter masonry work at Byrnes Golf Course, $3 , 150 . 00
for concrete work to prepare new box seats at Riverfront Stadium,
and $16, 894 . 00 for painting of the grandstand at Riverfront Stadium
be approved. Ayes : Two. Absent : Mollenhoff . Motion carried.
Moved by Anders, seconded by Krizek that the request of the
Superintendent of Parks for pre-authorization to expend $2, 900 . 00
for material for greenhouse improvements be approved. Ayes : Two.
Absent : Mollenhoff . Motion carried.
Moved by Anders, seconded by Krizek that the request of the
Superintendent of Parks for pre-authorization to expend $1, 144 . 00
for stacking chairs for the Gates Golf Pro Shop be approved. Ayes :
Two. Absent : Mollenhoff . Motion carried.
Moved by Anders, seconded by Krizek that the request of the
Superintendent of Streets/Sanitation for pre-authorization to
expend $31, 680 . 00 for cold mix be approved. Ayes : Two. Absent :
Mollenhoff . Motion carried.
Moved by Anders, seconded by Krizek that the request of the
Superintendent of Parks for pre-authorization to expend $3, 000 . 00
as a partial match for funding of the Iowa Conservation Corps crew
for the summer of 1996 be approved. Ayes : Two. Absent :
Mollenhoff . Motion carried.

Moved by Anders, seconded by Krizek that the request of the
Superintendent of Water Pollution/Flood Control for authorization
to decrease Line Item 5200/1513 (Chemical, Gas & Supplies) and
increase Line Item 5310/1571 (Equipment Replacement Parts) in the
amount of $5, 000 be approved. Ayes : Two. Absent : Mollenhoff.
Motion carried.
Moved by Anders, seconded by Krizek that the request of the Finance
Manager for authorization to add to the Mayor' s Budget Line Item
1785 (Refund Payments) and Line Item 3830 (Contributions and
Donations) in the amount of $250 . 00, be approved. Ayes : Two.
Absent : Mollenhoff. Motion carried.
Moved by Krizek, seconded by Anders that Bills Payment, as
contained in Schedule AP640, pp. 1-94, dated October 23 , 1995 in
the amount of $3 , 653, 787 .46 be received, placed on file and
forwarded to the full council for approval . Ayes : Two. Absent :
Mollenhoff . Motion carried.
With no further business before the committee, it was moved by
Anders, seconded by Krizek that the meeting be adjourned at 4 : 15
p.m. Ayes : Two. Absent : Mollenhoff . Motion carried.
