Moved by Mollenhoff, seconded by Anders that the Agenda, as proposed, be approved. Ayes : Three . Motion carried. The following bids for concrete testing equipment were reviewed: Bidder Bid Amount Longyear-U.S. Products Group $565 . 00 Rapids Reproductions, Inc. $645 . 00 It was the recommendation of the Assistant City Engineer that the low bid of Longyear-U. S. Products Group in the amount of $565 . 00 be approved. Moved by Mollenhoff, seconded by Anders that said recommendation be approved. Ayes : Three . Motion carried. The following bids for nuclear moisture-density gauge were reviewed: Bidder Bid Amount CPN Company $3, 995 . 00 Troxler Electronic Lab. , Inc. $4, 893 . 00 It was the recommendation of the Assistant City Engineer that the low bid of CPN Company in the amount of $3 , 995 . 00 be approved. Moved by Mollenhoff, seconded by Anders that said recommendation be approved. Ayes : Three. Motion carried. The bid of Walden Photo for crime laboratory supplies in the amount of $12, 463 . 32 was reviewed. Several other bidders were notified but did not bid. Moved by Anders, seconded by Mollenhoff that said low bid be approved. Ayes : Three. Motion carried. The request of the Recreation & Arts Director to purchase and install fencing at Byrnes Park concession area and the east end of the pool from Iowa Fence Masters in the amount of $2, 350 . 00 was reviewed. Moved by Anders, seconded by Mollenhoff that said request be approved. Ayes : Three. Motion carried. The request of the Recreation & Arts Director to purchase a 15 second commercial as part of the marketing for the Waterloo Museum of Arts to run during "Our Town" special program was reviewed. The cost for said commercial is $565 . 00 and will be paid using hotel/motel tax money. Moved by Anders, seconded by Mollenhoff that said request be approved. Ayes : Three. Motion carried. The cost estimate of Claassen Engineering and Surveying, Inc. in the amount of $300 to prepare a Plat of Survey of city-owned property located at 400 E. Arlington Street was reviewed. Other companies were notified but did not respond to the request for cost estimate. Moved by Anders, seconded by Mollenhoff that said cost estimate be approved. Ayes : Three. Motion carried. The renewal of the Ambulance Malpractice Liability policy with Western World for paramedics and emergency personnel in the Fire Department was reviewed. Said policy provides a $1, 000, 000 dollar coverage limit and has a small deductible . Moved by Mollenhoff, seconded by Anders that said renewal be approved. Ayes : Three . Motion carried. The renewal of the Worker' s Compensation Program with the League of Iowa Municipalities was reviewed. Said policy provides coverage for city employees' work injuries. The program is a risk pool sponsored by the Iowa League of Municipalities with a number of cities and counties participating in the pool . Moved by Mollenhoff, seconded by Anders that said renewal be approved. Ayes : Three.
