Moved by Anders, seconded by Mollenhoff that the Agenda, as amended, be approved. Ayes : Two. Absent : Krizek. Motion carried. The following bids were reviewed for Iowa Uniform Citation and Complaint forms for the Police Department : Bidder Bid Amount Fidlar and Chambers $1, 900 . 00 Law Enforcement Systems $1, 395 . 00 Professional Office Systems $1, 356 . 71 Matt Parrott and Sons $1, 152 . 00 G.A. Thompson Company $ 975 . 00 It was the recommendation of the Police Chief to accept the low bid of G.A. Thompson Company in the amount of $975 . The bid of Matt Parrott and Sons, a local firm, was reviewed. Moved by Anders, seconded by Mollenhoff that the bid of Matt Parrott and Sons in the amount of $1, 152 . 00 be accepted. Ayes : Two. Absent : Krizek. Motion carried. Moved by Anders, seconded by Mollenhoff that authorization be given to the Superintendent of Central Garage to sell a 1984 vac-all sweeper in the amount of $2, 500 . 00 . Ayes : Two. Absent : Krizek. Moved by Anders, seconded by Mollenhoff that authorization be given to the Superintendent of Water Pollution/Flood Control to seek bids for a combination vacuum - high pressure flusher truck for use by sewer maintenance . Moved by Anders, seconded by Mollenhoff that authorization be given to the Superintendent of Water Pollution/Flood Control to seek bids for security fencing at the Treatment Plant on Easton Avenue . Moved by Anders, seconded by Mollenhoff that authorization be given to the Superintendent of Water Pollution/Flood Control to seek bids for lawn mowing equipment . Ayes : Two. Absent : Krizek. Motion carried. Moved by Anders, seconded by Mollenhoff that authorization be given to the Superintendent of Water Pollution/Flood Control to seek bids for shoring material for sewer maintenance. Ayes : Two. Absent : Krizek. Motion carried. Moved by Anders, seconded by Mollenhoff that authorization be given to the Superintendent of Water Pollution/Flood Control to seek bids for cleaning trickling filters. Ayes : Two. Absent : Krizek. Motion carried. The request of the Acting Fire Chief to seek bids for various signs to be placed at the Hazardous Material Regional Training Center was reviewed. Funding for this purchase would be from the Hazardous Material Regional Training Center federal grant monies . Moved by Anders, seconded by Mollenhoff that authorization be given to take bids as requested. Ayes : Two. Absent : Krizek. Motion carried. Finance Committee March 28, 1994 Page 2 The request of the Police Chief for authorization to increase law enforcement trust fund budget by $7, 700 due to donations and sale of one police dog was reviewed. These funds would be used for veterinary care, dog food, K-9 supplies and all K-9 related travel and training expenses . Moved by Anders, seconded by Mollenhoff that said request be approved. Ayes : Two. Absent : Krizek. Motion carried. Moved by Anders, seconded by Mollenhoff that bills payment as contained in Schedule A918, pp. 1-48, in the amount of $818, 493 . 22, dated March 28, 1994, be approved. Ayes : Two. Absent : Krizek. Motion carried. With no further business before the committee, it was moved by Anders, seconded by Mollenhoff that the meeting be adjourned at 6 : 50 p.m. Ayes : Two. Absent : Krizek. Motion carried.
