Moved by Welper, seconded by Cole that the Agenda, as amended to add pre-authorization from
Superintendent of Central Garage, be approved. Ayes: Three. Motion carried.
Moved by Welper, seconded by Cole that the Minutes of November 16, 2009, as proposed, be
approved. Ayes: Three. Motion carried.
Moved by Welper, seconded by Cole that a travel request for Planner IIBrownfield Coordinator
to attend 2009 Brownfield Annual Conference in New Orleans, Louisiana on November 16-18,
2009, with costs not to exceed $2,034.00, be approved. Ayes: Three. Motion carried.
Moved by Welper, seconded by Cole that a garbage refund in the amount of$102.71 for 1247
Cedar Bend Street, be approved. Ayes: Three. Motion carried.
Moved by Cole, seconded by Welper that the request of the Assistant Leisure Services Director
for pre-authorization to expend $16,500.00 for labor and materials to pour cart path at South
Hills Golf Course between#4 and#5 tee, be approved. Ayes: Three. Motion carried.
Moved by Cole, seconded by Welper that the request of the Leisure Services Director for pre-
authorization to expend $12,000.00 for cement to pour pads for bleachers and benches in various
parks, golf courses, along the bike trails, and dugouts in the ball diamonds, be approved. Ayes:
Three. Motion carried.
Moved by Cole, seconded by Welper that the request of the Assistant Leisure Services Director
for pre-authorization to expend $16,000.00 for approximately 400 tons red ballfield lime for
infield and warning tracks at Tibbitts Complex, be approved. Ayes: Three. Motion carried.
Moved by Cole, seconded by Welper that the request of the Deputy City Clerk for pre-
authorization to expend up to 3,716.00 plus estimated shipping costs of $127.50 for Waterloo
and Cedar Falls city directories for various city departments, be approved. Ayes: Three.
Motion carried.
Moved by Cole, seconded by Welper that the request of the Building Official/Maintenance
Administrator for pre-authorization to expend $1,742.00 for painting and wall repair in the lower
level at the Library, be approved. Ayes: Three. Motion carried.
Moved by Cole, seconded by Welper that the request of the Building Official/Maintenance
Administrator for pre-authorization to expend $3,058.05 for boiler chemical for City Hall,
Library and Five Sullivan Brothers Convention Center, be approved. Ayes: Three. Motion
carried.
Moved by Cole, seconded by Welper that the request of the Police Chief for pre-authorization to
expend $1,250.00 for full analysis of two Tasers from case 09-98956, be approved. Ayes:
Three. Motion carried.
Moved by Cole, seconded by Welper that the request of the Police Chief for pre-authorization to
expend $6,900.00 plus estimated shipping costs of$60.00 for 5 Tasers and accessories to outfit 5
officers being hired under the COPPs Grant, 3 Tasers and accessories to provide spares for
Reserve Officers, be approved. Ayes: Three. Motion carried.

Coordinator for pre-authorization to expend $2,066.00 for advertising for new construction of
homes for Summerland Development, be approved. Ayes: Three. Motion carried.
