Moved by Welper, seconded by Reggie Schmitt that the Minutes of September 14, 2009, as proposed, be approved. Ayes: Three. Motion carried. The following bids received for fire hose and connectors were reviewed: Bidder Bid Amount Ed M. Feld $6,770.00 Municipal Emergency Services, Inc. $6,750.72 It was the recommendation of the Fire Chief that the bid from Ed M. Feld in the amount of $6,770.00 for fire hose and connectors be accepted. Moved by Welper, seconded by Cole that said recommendation be approved. Ayes: Three. Motion carried. Moved by Welper, seconded by Cole that a travel request for Administrative Secretary to attend 2009 PERB Conference in West Des Moines, Iowa on October 7-9, 2009, with costs not to exceed$220.00, be approved. Ayes: Three. Motion carried. Moved by Welper, seconded by Cole that a travel request for Community Planning & Development Director, Planner II and Associate Planner to attend 2009 APA Iowa Chapter Annual Conference in Des Moines, Iowa on October 29-30, 2009, with costs not to exceed $574.00, be approved. Ayes: Three. Motion carried. The following bids received for lease of truck for FIRE PALS Program were reviewed: Bidder Bid Amount C & S Car Company $8,877.36 Champion Motors $8,000.00 It was the recommendation of the Fire Chief that the bid from C & S Car Company at a cost of $8,877.36 for lease of truck be accepted because it includes a warranty and is seven years newer than the truck quoted by Champion Motors. Moved by Welper, seconded by Cole that said recommendation be approved. Ayes: Three. Motion carried. Moved by Cole, seconded by Welper that the request of the Assistant Leisure Services Director for pre-authorization to expend $2,700.00, plus estimated shipping costs of $100.44, for ropes and rigging equipment for forestry be approved. Ayes: Three. Motion carried. Moved by Cole, seconded by Welper that the request of the Airport Director for pre- authorization to expend $2,091.00 for repair of erosion intake a the main terminal building be approved. Ayes: Three. Motion carried. Moved by Cole, seconded by Welper that the request of the Airport Director for pre- authorization to expend $5,700.00 to replace primary windsock destroyed in windstorm be approved. Ayes: Three. Motion carried. Moved by Cole, seconded by Welper that the request of the Airport Director for pre- authorization to expend $5,135.72 for storm damage cleanup at Livingston Airport administrative building be approved.
