Moved by Welper, seconded by Cole that the request of the Superintendent of Central Garage for authorization to seek bids for purchase and installation of an emergency generator for the city fuel distribution facility be approved. Ayes: Three. Motion carried. Moved by Welper, seconded by Cole that the request of the Superintendent of Central Garage for authorization to seek bids for one new multi-chute sandbagger with motorized auger be approved. Ayes: Three. Motion carried. Moved by Welper, seconded by Cole that the request of the Superintendent of Central Garage for authorization to seek bids for one 2010 automated side-loading garbage truck be approved. Ayes: Three. The following bids received for appraisal of property located at 300 West Mullan Avenue were reviewed: Bidder Rid Amount Rally Appraisal, LLC $2,400.00 Valuation Services, Inc. $1,800.00 It was the recommendation of the CommunityPlanning Developmentaccept& Director to the bid in the amount of$2,400.00 from Rally Appraisal, LLC as they would be able to complete the appraisal by September 18, 2009 as requested in the Request for Bids letter. Moved by Welper, seconded by Cole that the request of the Fire Chief for authorization to seek bids for dishtowels, bath towels, shop rags and uniforms for the mechanic be approved. Ayes: Three. Moved by Welper, seconded by Cole that the recommendation from the Police Chief to accept bid at a cost not to exceed $10,000.00 from Vohne Liche Kennel, Inc. for one new Police K-9 be approved. The request of the Police Chief for approval of cost increase of$1,139.00 for installation of three overhead doors at the Sycamore Building for a total cost of $10,833.01 was reviewed. The Police Department changed the bid specifications due to the size and type of their vehicles, which resulted in a cost increase of$1,139.00.
