Moved by Welper, seconded by Reggie Schmitt that the Agenda, as proposed, be approved.
Ayes: Two. Absent: Cole. Motion carried.
Moved by Welper, seconded by Reggie Schmitt that the Minutes of June 1, 2009, as proposed,
be approved. Ayes: Two. Absent: Cole. Motion carried.
Moved by Welper, seconded by Reggie Schmitt that the recommendation of the Fire Chief to
accept the bid in the amount of $3,049.99 from Chain of Lakes Marine, Inc. for an outboard
motor for existing rescue boat be approved. Ayes: Two. Absent: Cole. Motion carried.
Moved by Welper, seconded by Reggie Schmitt that a garbage refund in the amount of$535.00
for 1236 Sylvia Avenue be approved. Ayes: Two. Absent: Cole. Motion carried.
Moved by Welper, seconded by Reggie Schmitt that the request of the Superintendent of Central
Garage for authorization to sell 1988 International F1954 series Spreader truck via auction be
approved. Ayes: Two. Absent: Cole. Motion carried.
Moved by Welper, seconded by Reggie Schmitt that the request of the Fire Chief for
authorization to seek bids for firefighter bunker gear be approved. Ayes: Two. Absent: Cole.
Motion carried.
Moved by Welper, seconded by Reggie Schmitt that the recommendation of the Community
Planning & Development Director to accept bid in the amount of $1,400.00 from Valuation
Services, Inc. for appraisal of damage for closure of one driveway access to 1715 Hammond
Avenue be approved. Ayes: Two. Absent: Cole. Motion carried.
The following bids received for three 4-wheel drive pickups were reviewed:

It was the recommendation of the Superintendent of Central Garage that the state bid from
Charles Gabus in the amount of $19,981.45 per vehicle be accepted. Moved by Welper,
seconded by Reggie Schmitt that said recommendation be approved. Ayes: Two. Absent:
Cole. Motion carried.
Moved by Welper, seconded by Reggie Schmitt that an amended travel request for Community
Development Coordinator to attend Homelessness Prevention and Rapid Re-Housing Program
Training in Chicago, Illinois on June 3-7, 2009, with costs not to exceed $960.00, be approved.
Ayes: Two. Absent: Cole. Motion carried.
Moved by Welper, seconded by Reggie Schmitt that an amended travel request for Cultural &
Arts Director and Curator to attend opening of Mystical Imagination Exhibition and Haitian Art
Conference in Washington, DC on June 10-14, 2009, with costs not to exceed $2,495.00, be
approved. Ayes: Two. Absent: Cole. Motion carried.
Move by Reggie Schmitt, seconded by Welper that the request of the Fire Chief for pre-
authorization to expend $1,920.00 to purchase topper for the former Fire Pals truck that is
replacing the existing 300 Command vehicle be approved. Ayes: Two. Absent: Cole. Motion
carried.
