Moved by Welper, seconded by Cole that the Agenda, as proposed, be approved. Ayes: Three. Motion carried. Moved by Welper, seconded by Cole that the Minutes of May 4, 2009, as proposed, be approved. Councilperson Welper noted that on May 4, 2009 the Finance Committee authorized Aable Pest Control to install the Sentricon termites control system at the Library. Councilperson Welper stated another vendor asked why he was not given an opportunity to bid on the termite problem. Lou Cutwright, Building Official/Maintenance Administrator, responded that Aable Pest Control does all the pest control for city buildings, and he felt it was important to move along to get rid the termites. The termites were eating boxes and flying all over the basement and he felt it was important to get rid of the them immediately. Ayes: Three. Motion carried. Moved by Welper, seconded by Cole that the request of the Superintendent of Central Garage for authorization to provide Fairview Cemetery with 1993 Chevrolet Pickup with snow blade for maintenance operations be approved. Moved by Welper, seconded by Cole that the request of the Superintendent of Central Garage for authorization to dispose of city vehicles via citywide auction, closed auction and electronic auction be approved. Ayes: Three. Motion carried. Moved by Welper, seconded by Cole that the request of the Superintendent of Central Garage for authorization to conduct city equipment auction be approved. Ayes: Three. Moved by Welper, seconded by Cole that the request of the Superintendent of Central Garage for authorization to increase cost to purchase fuel tanks for 4" pump trailers by $5 to $255.00 each and add shipping cost of $250.00, for total cost of $19,402.00 be approved. Moved by Welper, seconded by Cole that the request of the Contracts and Grants Coordinator for authorization to seek bids for removal of asbestos at 728, 731 and 745 Vinton Street; 302-304 and 404 Fowler Street be approved. Moved by Welper, seconded by Cole that the request of the Superintendent of Traffic Operations for authorization to place approximately 25 parking meters and posts on the May 16, 2009 auction be approved.
